2. Our Services

Footprint Investigations provides fraud investigation, blockchain forensics, cyber intelligence, and claims support services. We operate under a statutory exemption from FCA authorisation for claims management activities, as set out in our Notice of Compliance. Footprint Investigations does not provide regulated legal or financial advice. Where legal services are required, clients are introduced to independent solicitors who are authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA).

3. No Guarantee of Outcome

Footprint Investigations does not guarantee the recovery of funds. All outcomes depend on the specific circumstances of each case, jurisdictional considerations, and the actions of third parties including banks, exchanges, regulators, and courts. Any indication of likelihood of success is an assessment only, not a guarantee. Engaging our services does not guarantee a particular result.

4. Your Responsibilities

When using our services, you agree to:

5. Fees and Payment

Fee arrangements are agreed in writing before any chargeable work commences. Footprint Investigations operates on a fixed commissioning fee model. The fee is agreed upfront and fixed for the duration of the engagement regardless of time taken. Legal services are included within the commissioning fee. All fees are set out in your engagement agreement. We reserve the right to withdraw services if fees are not paid in accordance with agreed terms.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by or licensed to Footprint Investigations and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our prior written consent.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Footprint Investigations's total liability to you in connection with our services shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence.

8. Confidentiality

All information you share with Footprint Investigations is treated as strictly confidential and handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We will not disclose your case details to third parties without your consent, except as required by law or to deliver our services (e.g. sharing with legal partners or law enforcement with your knowledge).

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page. Continued use of our services after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
